These terms are an agreement between you and Alan Wizemann, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operating Citeworthy. By using Citeworthy you agree to them.
The service. We crawl and audit websites you direct us to and report findings. Auditing is read-only — crawling and reporting never change anything your server sends.
The managed edge (optional). Separately, and only if you switch it on, you may point a DNS record for a hostname at our edge. While that record points at us, requests for that hostname reach our proxy first and we fetch each page from your origin and return it. In that mode we do modify the responses we serve, and only in these ways: we merge in metadata changes you have approved, we may serve a markdown version of a page when a client asks for one and your origin has none, we may serve /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt and /robots.txt content you have approved, we may add a structured-data (JSON-LD) block you have approved to a page's <head>, and we may serve a /sitemap.xml you have approved for as long as your origin serves none of its own — when your own sitemap returns, ours stands down. We do not change your page's body content, and where your origin already serves one of those files, your file wins. Automatic application of changes without your approval is off unless you explicitly enable it for a specific change type, and some change types can never be automatic.
Control and reversibility. The managed edge is yours to stop. A pass-through switch in your dashboard suspends all modification, normally within about sixty seconds, after which we forward your origin's responses unaltered. Removing or repointing the DNS record removes us from the request path entirely as soon as it propagates; no action or agreement from us is required. While the record points at us we are in your serving path, and you accept that this is a dependency; we design for our own failures to fall back to your origin, but we do not warrant uninterrupted service (see "No warranty").
Your responsibilities. Only audit sites you own or are authorized to audit. Recurring audits require domain verification. You must control, and be authorized to change, any DNS record you point at us, and you are responsible for the content of changes you approve for serving. You are responsible for actions taken based on our findings.
Fair use. Page caps and crawl frequency depend on your plan. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to audit sites without authorization.
No warranty. The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee rankings, citations, or AI visibility outcomes — we report what we measure.
Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email.
